Troubleshooting Location Errors

Updated over 3 months ago

PeakPlay is currently only available in select US locations

Even if you’re in an available area, your internet provider could route your connection through a different location. Our system might then block access, thinking you’re outside the service zones. Don’t stress—we’ll guide you through the troubleshooting process to get you back in the action!

1. Make sure you are not connected to a VPN

If you have an active VPN, you will not be able to access PeakPlay. Turn off your VPN and try logging in again.

2. Make sure your Wi-Fi is turned on

You don't have to be connected to Wi-Fi, but it should be turned on. You can still use mobile data. This helps us get a more accurate location reading!

3. Is your GPS location active and shared with PeakPlay?

If your location is off, our systems may believe you are somewhere outside the available area.

For Android or Windows

1. Open Google Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right of your browser.
2. Scroll down to "Site Settings".
3. Tap "Location".
4. Click "Blocked".
5. Make sure that PeakPlay isn't on this list. If it is, tap it and change it to "Allow".
6. Log out of PeakPlay.
7. Clear your cache - You can find instructions here: How To Clear Your Cache, Cookies and Browser History.
8. Log in again!

For IOS and Apple Devices:

1. Open the "Settings" app.
2. Scroll down to "Privacy".
3. Tap "Location Services".
4. Scroll down to "Safari Websites" and select it.
5. Find PeakPlay
6. Under "Allow Location Access" choose "While Using the App" to enable location access when you're using PeakPlay.

4. Check your IP address. This is to see where your Internet Service Provider says you are located.

Your IP address should place you somewhere within your physical state.
You can check your IP address here: What Is My IP Address - See Your Public Address - IPv4 & IPv6

If your IP address is showing a different location, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Some Internet Service Providers have IP addresses that change frequently. You may be able to request a static IP address for your location.

5. Change the device you are logging in with:

Try logging in on a different device. For example, if you're using a computer, switch to your phone (or vice versa).

If you’re still having issues after trying these steps, reach out to our Player Experience Team, and we’ll help you get back in the game!
